Zin Myo Kyaw is a graduate student specializing in Global Studies at Bard NYC. He is originally from Myanmar and has firsthand experience working to combat human rights abuses such as gender, ethnic, and religious discrimination in healthcare, employment, education, and more. He worked as a Senior Development Officer for more than 4 years at Parami University in Myanmar. He also worked as a freelance educator for over 6 years for marginalized and low-income families. Before his graduate studies, he was selected as an Open Society University Network staff fellow, where he gained the insights and skills to work on community development works. He is passionate about educating young people and initiating community development projects, driving him to establish a low-cost private preschool in Myanmar that provides primary-level education to low-income families’ children.
