Marianne Vitug

Marianne is a Legal Fellow at the Global Justice Center. She is supported by the Public Service Venture Fund Fellowship awarded by Harvard Law School, where she obtained her LL.M. She holds a J.D. from the University of the Philippines and a B.A. in Political Science from Ateneo de Manila University. Before pursuing her LL.M., Marianne was a Program Officer at The Asia Foundation, where she led the Empowered Movements for Rights and Gender Equality Program. She taught public international law and legal history at the University of the Philippines, as well as gender law at De La Salle University. She also served as a Supporting Equality Law Reform Fellow and Consultant with the Equal Rights Trust, where she conducted research on anti-discrimination laws and the status of LGBTQ rights around the world. At Harvard, Marianne was a Student Attorney at the International Human Rights Clinic, a Research Assistant at the Program on International Law and Armed Conflict, and an Articles Editor for the Harvard Human Rights Journal.
