[NEW YORK] - It is with deep sadness that the Global Justice Center announces the passing of its founder and fearless leader, Janet Benshoof. A generational force and tireless advocate for the rule of law and women’s equality, Ms. Benshoof’s family announced her passing on December 18th. She was 70 years old.

[NEW YORK] The Founder and President of the Global Justice Center, Janet Benshoof, has stepped down from her role as President of the organization. Although planning for this transition has been ongoing for the past year, because Ms. Benshoof has taken an emergency medical leave of absence, we are making a public announcement of the transition at this time. We are fortunate to have the Global Justice Center’s Vice-President and Legal Director, Akila Radhakrishnan, assume the role of acting President during the transition process.

[NEW YORK] Today, on the International Day of Commemoration and Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide and of the Prevention of this Crime, the Global Justice Center warns that the promise of “Never Again” is being broken in conflicts around the world in places such as Syria, Iraq, Yemen, the Central African Republic, Sudan and Myanmar.
