Ceasefire Agreements Signed with the Junta

Burma is indisputably a country in armed conflict due to sixty years of armed confrontation between the junta and various ethnic armies. While the SPDC has signed a number of ceasefire agreements with various ethnic armed groups, none of them have affirmatively ensured the inclusion of women despite Security Council Resolution 1325 requiring that "when negotiating and implementing peace agreements, [all parties] adopt a gender perspective."
