GJC Writes Open Letter to ASEAN Heads of State on Burmese Constitution.
GJC urges ASEAN Heads of State to comply with their international obligations by no longer recognizing Myanmar/Burma as an ASEAN Member because its constitution and elections violate the most fundamental rules of law.
GJC President Janet Benshoof states "Burma's constitution sets up a bifurcated sovereign state unlike any other government in modern history: swift action must be taken against this fundamental breach of the laws of nations."
