On November 22nd, Janet Benshoof spoke before the APG on a new iniative using United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (UNSCR 1325 as a tool for gender training of the judiciary and related agencies within Iraq. She discussed the use this tool to improve gender justice. Her discussion was followed by a report from a senior investigative judge from the Iraq High Tribunal who spoke on the effect of this training on the judiciary in Iraq.

On November 23rd, Baroness Uddin hosted and chaired a roundtable discussion on the future of Iraq. During this discussion, Janet Benshoof gave a speech, "The Impact of Judicial Training on Gender Rights in Iraq." She provided an overview of the use of UNSCR 1325 and CEDAW as a tool for ensuring gender justice and also discussed her work with the Iraq High Tribunal.

This event celebrated the launch of the International Coordination for Gender Justice in Iraq. During this event, Janet Benshoof gave a speech "The Global Advances of Gender Justice" which provided an overview of the application of UNSCR 1325 as a tool for ensuring gender justice. Elisabeth Rehn, an honorary chair of ICGJI who is internationally renowned for her work on women and conflict, also attended as a guest speaker.
