GJC President Janet Benshoof is being broadcasted by Feminist International Radio Endeavour (FIRE) in an interview on her work with UN Security Council Resolution 1325. FIRE is an internet radio station based in Ciudad Col?n, Costa Rica whose broadcasts are heard across the world through streaming audio. Their website provides a platform for the inclusion of women in the media, as a means of promoting positive change towards gender justice and women's equality. Ms. Benshoof's interview focuses on her work to implement and enforce 1325 as binding international law. She also discusses the obstacles to the challenge due in part to exclusion of minorities in legal enforcement of 1325 and the impact this has in Burma and Iraq.
